( Fictional tale )

On December 31 , at 23h58m , I was soapy from head to toe under the warm shower, when I heard the intercom ringing insistently outside. And now ? How to serve it that way if I was upstairs in the house. ( According to the site www.humornaciência.com.br , the 17th of Murphy 's Law : Between two probable events , an unlikely ever happens ) .
I shouted to the visitor :
- I'm in the bath . Hold on a little longer than I will .
Rinsed me hastily closed the shower , wrapped myself in the towel and went down the stairs . I stopped , looked and thought :
" What a strange person ! The big guy , dressed in white from head to toe , with a glittering hat , face baby butt . Looks like a ghost ... I will not get too close . I do not know ! "
" Good night ! Can I help? " Asked two feet away .
" Do not you recognize me ? "
" No" .
" I am the New Year . Can I come in ? "
" Come on ! Two Thousand and Fourteen ? Come on, boy! Welcome back ! "
" Putz ! Almost do not you come on vacation , Two Thousand and Thirteen . I've ran all around . Do not think your home . "
" Glad you found . I had forgotten you completely . I was amused by the postings on Facebook and these repetitive programinhas TV on New Year's Eve so on . But sitting there, boy! Let's have some champagne to celebrate . "
" Come on! "
I open the champagne , that not burst, bursts more ( porcaria! ) , and fill the cups ( for a change ) :
" Tim - Tim , Tim - Tim ... you Two Thousand and Fourteen , " I toast .
" To us !" He replies .
" But , tell me ! What you want to do in the next 365 days " ?
" The world cup football in Brazil ."
" That's it? "
" Boy, that will give me a job ... You have no idea . Without intending to be nasty, I say that your work ends today , plus what will happen to the rest of the world , are fichinhas . "
" Virgin " - I crossed myself .
" Think with me ! Stadiums , roads , bridges , flyovers , airports , road signs - all badly made , poorly finished , dirt swept under the rug .
